OWNER TRAINER
Angela Dowell started showing horses nearly 35 years ago. She has apprenticed and worked with renown professional horse people including Tommy Manion, Nancy Sue Ryan and Doug Carpenter.
She is accredited as a Professional Horseman by the American Quarter Horse Association.
Her personal achievements include 2 Championships at the All American Quarterhorse Congress.
In the past several years she has taken 5 clients to the Quarterhorse Congress and taken home one Champion and 4 Top Ten awards.
She also has one Top Five winner at the All American Paint Horse Congress.
Angela has 25 years experience training horses and giving riding instruction in Hunt Seat, Western Pleasure, Equitation, Horsemanship, Trail and Showmanship.

EQUINE SPORTSMEDICINE TEAM APPROACH Performance and show horses are athletes. They are worked, exercised and trained on a regular schedule at Dowell Quarter Horses. Care is given to their dietary needs as well. We take great pride in our Equine Sportsmedicine Team approach to the care of horses in our charge. Our team includes Dr. Tom Monfort, DVM and Associates. Equine Chiropractic Physician, Andrea Cogswell, DVM, and Farrier, Ted Rhoades.
Drs. Monfort and Gogswell each schedule monthly visits to our facility and are on call for emergencies. Ted Rhoades visits the barn every two weeks to shoe and trim horses on a rotating schedule so that each horse is seen every six weeks or as needed. Drs. Monfort, Cogswell and Ted have a close working relationship so that all the horses and those with special needs are cared for in the best possible fashion.
